The Celebration Books program, jointly sponsored by the PTA and the four SAS libraries, recognizes the precious life events of the families, faculty, and staff of our SAS community by dedicating books in the name of the honorees to one of the four libraries. A bookplate is placed inside a selected book, printed with the dedication, and is placed in circulation of the school library of choice. Additionally, a certificate of recognition is presented to the honoree.

There are two ways dedications are made. PTA dedications are provided as a service to our community, honoring life’s major milestones, and are funded by the PTA. Personal dedications can be requested for a modest donation, benefiting the libraries, to recognize unlimited reasons to celebrate and commemorate those we love and appreciate.

 

PTA DEDICATIONS

This program works through word of mouth. We rely on family, friends and faculties to pass on the news of a birth, adoption, or death within our SAS community. Kindly contact us (ksboothe@hotmail.com), if you know of someone for whom a dedication should be made, particularly those who have recently joined SAS. The PTA will contact the recipient and handle processing the book dedication.

PERSONAL DEDICATIONS                                                                                                   

The Celebration Books program is also available to our community for personally requesting book dedications for family highlights, or as means of appreciation. For a S$35 donation, book dedications may be made to recognize special events such as graduations or birthdays, making the honor roll or a first homerun, a special coach or teacher, or parting friends who are never to be forgotten. 

To make a personal dedication, please fill out the following order form and return it with a check (Singapore dollars only please) to the PTA office, or to your school division’s main office. The PTA will process the order, contact the honoree, as designated, and send you a certificate once the book is available for checking out.

Please understand that at times, specific title requests may have to be modified. Each of our school libraries work to support the curricular goals established within each division, and all materials for that library are selected to fulfill these goals.
